Teaching Kids Woodworking: Age-Appropriate Projects and Safety
Ages 5–7: sand, hammer (supervised), paint. Ages 8–11: coping saw, hand drill, simple plans. Ages 12–15: most hand tools independently, intro power tools supervised. Ages 16+: supervised power tools. Safety: glasses always, closed-toe shoes, one tool at a time, adult supervision for cutting, the stop rule.
